upgraded to AutoCAD 2018 and tedit.lsp no longer works!!

Anonymous
Not applicable

My company recently upgraded to AutoCAD version 2018 and now I cannot get the tedit.lsp to work....
I have to be able to edit multiple texts, both Mtext and single text.
I have researched to no avail. Can someone please help?
I have successfully loaded the lisp routine and it will allow me to enter the command and select items but when I press enter to start the editing process, I get the unknown command error. I've attached
thanks in advance
John

Hi @Anonymous,

I see that you are visiting as a new member to the AutoCAD forum. Welcome to the Autodesk Community!

As others have indicated, this is no longer a valid command.  Simply double-click on the text entity and you should be able to edit the contents.

Please select the Accept as Solution button if my post solves your issue or answers your question.

thanks for the reply.

I guess I didn't make myself clear enough. I realize that you can double click, then edit and that's all well and good for one at a time however I like to work a bit faster . I want to be able to select  multiple texts (either Mtext or single), then start editing....one after the other without going back and forth between selecting then typing, selecting then typing...... I don't understand why this is not a standard feature with acad?? It is so apparent how much users like this capability. A search returns many people complaining about this
