Hello there, hope you are all keeping well,

I am having some issues with Autodesk AutoCAD 2020,
The issues occurred immediately after the first installation on this laptop,#

Whenever, we try to open the AutoCAD, following error occurs: "", It stopping us from using 3D orbit tool after a ,point cloud is imported in  The SHIFT+MIDDLE BUTTON doesn't work either, (Please note, that an account with full admin permissions is used),

So far I have tried the following (in this order):
- Restart the computer,
- Update the windows,
- Turning off the AntiVirus software,
- The AutoCAD profile has been reset
- I have repair/ reinstalled/ uninstalled and installed again AutoCAD,
- All above without any improvement,

The file what I am currently exporting is an "*.rcp" file exported from "*.e57" file using ReCAP,
To be absolutely sure, I have also used "*.rcs" file with no luck eaither.

Could you please advise?
Screenshot below,

Really appriciate it,

Many Thanks,
Kind Regards,
Petr

Hi,

does that only happen with this dwg-file or only with that specific point cloud data?

Can you please start command _ABOUT and create a screenshot, then command _GRAPHICSCONFIG and again create a screenshot and upload these 2 screenshots here?

Hi Alfred,

Thank you for your reply,

The message pop up any time I open either AutoCAD LT or the full version of AutoCAD,

However, I can close it and keep working, even using the orbit tool, until I upload the point cloud file,

I have tried to upload another two different files with the same result,

Please see below two screenshots attached as you mentioned above,

Autodesk AutoCAD LT is running under the usual license, while the Full AutoCAD is under the 30days trial (3rd day so far), we are hoping to switch to the full CAD if this works.

Many Thanks,

Petr

Hi,

For AutoCAD 2020 there exists already an update (2020.1), please install that.

If that does not help please let us know that!

>> any time I open either AutoCAD LT or the full version of AutoCAD

I don't have AutoCAD LT, so I don't know the point-cloud functionality, but I'm surprised that LT has the option to attach point-clouds.

Have you tried a different point-cloud too?

Hi Alfred,

Apology, I have not explained my self well,

The AutoCad LT is not capable of lounging point-cloud, You are right,

I only meant to say, that the same error pop up even if I just open the AutoCAD LT,

I will download the 20.1 version now, and will let you know, if that helped,

"Have you tried a different point-cloud too?"

Yes, I have tried two different files so far,

Many Thanks,

Petr

Hi,

Well, as the same happens with LT and so you get the same error without point-clouds we have to look to other reasons. Waiting for your experience after installing the update.

The Autodesk Desktop App was just updated up to 2020.1, but the actual CAD, doesn't seems to have any update available. To by absolutely sure, I have uninstalled the software and installed again,

Please see below. The issue is still there. Many Thanks for your support,

The video card you are probably using in AutoCAD or pretty dang well be if not is the other one on your list, not that POS IntelHDG garbage that is only good for your webbrowser:
