Unable to Trim

Hi, so I am currently trying to follow along with a video on how to make an object and came across a problem. In the video that I have linked below, at around 8:20-8:24 he starts to use the trim tool to get rid of the bottom half of the circle in order to presspull. However as I was attempting to do the same I was unable to selectthat line in order to start trimming. I have tried setting my settings back to default but I am still having this problem. The line was made through the tool copy edge and when I try and click on it in order to trim, I simply get an error message saying 1 is not a valid edge/selection method. Or that I am unable to trim this object.   The video is:

Hi,

thx for posting the video, but can you show what your problem is?

Share your .dwg and a screencast, or explain your trim steps and at what point you can't follow the video - and what happens instead.

Attach your .dwg would be better than a video from Youtube.

Hi,

all lines and circle created, you have to select the line enter and the circle, not a 3dobject.

And if your trim mode is set to quick mode, you don't need to click the line.

Start trim, checkout the current mode [F2]
