Thanks for the screenshot: if I understand your desire correctly SLICE command does not work like that red line, it will require two actions or two copies of your model sliced twice and brought together.

Draw a polyline, copy it and loft them, then use it as a surface to slice.

Are you sure all parts are 3d solid? save your drawing to 2007 version and post it for me.

2007 save attached

The parts do not abut cleanly.  there are gaps between the clevis rings and the adjoining half circle faces of he filling part.

Part of the problem may be that the drawing units are in millimeters but the part is situated about 84 Kilometers away from the origin.

I'd suggest first completely to build your model new.
I tried this:
- move all 3Dsolids near to 0,0,0
- Union the 23 3D-Solids
=> I get an Error Code Number is 84030

Before searching what causes the error I think it's much easier, to create the model completely new.
If this is done post it again and we will show you how to slice it(if necessary).

In the meantime I played a bit with your model. I could union 22 of the given 3D-Solids successfully, the cylinder bottom right ( I moved it a little away) causes an error.

If the model would be correct and precise, then a lot of edges should not be visible. (some of them I marked in the attached pic).

Hi @nasamayank1

I attached file dwg with the editions shown on the screencast, no errors were presented, the solids were edited without major difficulties.

I hope I have resolved your concerns with it.

I agree.  same redrawing, corrections, required.  This is one example.
