Unable to open the visual styles manager

Anonymous
Not applicable

Hello.

I am trying to open the visual styles manager panel, but it will not.

2019-07-10 09_04_55-Untitled - Paint.png
Once I click there, the command applies and I can see it below in the command bar, but nothing happens though.

I have tried directly typing the command, looking for a solution in the forums, but nothing.

I don't remember changing any configuration lately and I have tried in other devices, and it seems to be working normally. Also, it doesn't look like the visual styles panel could be hidden somewhere, or at least I can't see it.

Regards.

Hello,

- I have tried to type the command --> nothing happens

- I have changed to a different workspace --> I can't make the palette to appear

- I tried in your way --> visual styles palette appears like enabled, but it doesn't matter if I enable it or not, it doesn't make anything. The funny thing is that the other palettes, like Materials editor, for instance, work perfectly fine.

- I tried also in this other way:2019-07-10 10_10_31-Autodesk AutoCAD 2018 - [Drawing1.dwg].png

It seems like my Visual styles palette is already enabled, but I can't see it.

Thank you very much

would you try this :

Use the keyboard to move the window into view. Try this first on a visible window to see what happens:

  1. Execute the command to activate the dialog window.
  2. Press Alt+Spacebar on the keyboard.
  3. Press the M key and tap an arrow key.
  4. Move the mouse to bring the window into view.
  5. Click the left mouse button to cancel the operation.

For some mysteries of life, that option of reset settings is not available for the english version of my autocad.

Curious thing is that in my german version the visual styles panel works fine. I restored settings in the german version anyway to see if by luck it restores everywhere, but I was too optimistic.

However now anytime I need to change my visual styles I have to open the autocad in another language and do it from there. I guess is a halfway solution.

So thank you very much!

I have disabled it, but still the palette doesn't appear.

What does this option make? If I switch off the hardware acceleration the software will go faster when I make my 3D designs?

If you have a video card that supports OpenGL, you can enhance your graphics performance and productivity when working with 3D models by turning on hardware acceleration. This will improve your overall performance, not just with 3D work. Some video cards and drivers that support OpenGL are not compatible with AutoCAD when hardware acceleration is turned on. This incompatibility may result in some unexpected problems. To test for optimized working conditions in your environment, you can switch hardware acceleration on and off.

I think this is exactly what happens to me. This is what I am doing following your steps:

1. I type in the command bar the command "visual styles"

2019-07-10 10_46_56-Autodesk AutoCAD 2018 - [Drawing1.dwg].png

2. I press Alt+space bar --> then this panel pops up

2019-07-10 10_55_50-Autodesk AutoCAD 2018 - [Drawing1.dwg].png

3. Then I tap M in my keyboard (I suppose you want to select the Move option, however Move appears disabled). When I tap M the panel closes and I come back to the model space of autocad

4. Now If click and arrow there is no effect

Am I doing it correctly?

Yes, I have tried now but It doesn't work.

Can you tell me what command appears in the command bar when you open the visual manager, and then you select the option "create new visual style"? Maybe I can try tiping the order directly, but now I don't know because I can't access it.
