unable to install 2007 land desktop companion

I was having periodic hard drive problems with windows 7 and was unable to uninstall 2007 land desktop using windows, so I manually deleted all references to the program. I can no longer start windows7, and I lost the backup iso that I made several years ago.

New installation process requests name of program (2007 ldt) followed by request for  serial number.

Autodesk responds that the serial number does not agree with software version (2007 ldl).

I'm using my original 2007 ldt companion disc and serial number of my previous installation.

History: The original installation was for 2006 ldt in 2012?, I upgraded to 2007 via subscription.

I have a hard copy of the registration/activation code confirmation information.

Question: Should I be installing 2006 land desktop companion first and then install 2007 ldt as an upgrade?

Autodesk cannot find my history.

Try using Autodesk Virtual Agent

Sorry, you missed the deadline. There is nothing you can do about it today. Even if they find your history etc.

If you find Autodesk software subscriptions too expensive, there are many other CAD packages out there with no subscription options (initial cost may still be comparably high) that you can go get and use.
