Unable to Detect Layers in AutoCAD 2021

Hi. I have a problem here.
The AutoCAD 2021 is having problems with layers. My AutoCAD 2021 is unable to import newly or previously saved .las files properly.  The .las files can be found via my laptop's Files Manager and AutoCAD 2021 only can detect it if I go to Layers Properties >Layer State Manager > Import > Tools > Find and type the name/pick the location of the .las file manually. However, if I go via Layers Properties >Layer State Manager > Import and pick the files where the .las files are saved at the software is unable to detect it. I have tried to restart my laptop and reset the software back to its default settings but the the problem still persist. Please help.

Check layers to make sure they are all set to plot. … Check the Shade Plot setting in the plot options and change it from As Displayed to Wireframe. Check for layer states that could be overriding or misapplying layer settings. On the command line in AutoCAD, enter the LAYERSTATE command.

Thanks and Regards,

Rushabh Thakkar.

The default file type for importing is set to DWG. Switch it to LAS.
