Typing in values in AutoCAD is not working.

I am having trouble typing in values in AutoCAD designated windows.

it simply doesn't work.

For instance, changing layers colors by typing in number ( 1- for red, ext.);

typing in values in Dimension or Multileader Stile Manager (like dim. scale, arrowhead size ext.);

typing in any values for hatch (transparency, scale, angle, ext.)

Pretty much almost anything that required typing values in is NOT working.

Can anyone help?

Thanks

NumLock key on?

Wild guess here: is your command line docked?

I'll ask the over-obvious question:  Is your keyboard connected?  Do other programs [word processors, spreadsheets, etc.] accept typed input as expected?  [I guess I should assume it is and they do, or you wouldn't have been able to post the question....]

Does it happen in all drawings, or only one or some?  Does typing in command names at the Command line work?  When you try to give a color number for a Layer, do you get the flashing cursor in the "slot" but nothing happens when you press keys, or does the cursor not appear?
