Hi

I am quite new to 3d modelling in AutoCAD, so newbie alert! As seen in the photo below, I am trying to draw lines on inside of one of the legs of my 3D part. When I draw the lines, I am looking at the part from the Right View Panel. So the lines will end up on the right hand side of the part. How can I stop this from happening?

In the screenshot, you can see the face that I'm trying to draw on where the UCS is. But when I draw the lines when viewing the part from the right. It draws on the right outside of the part.

Thank you

One of the ways you can do this is by drawing your 3D drawing using multiple views.  At the top, go to your View tab, and find Model Viewports.  Select the drop-down for Viewport Configuration, and select Four: Equal.  Then it will give you 4 views of the object you are working on.  Then just change each viewport to the view you want to see.  This should lock whatever you are working on, to that plane.
