Trouble editing an object in AutoCAD

Hello,

Disclaimer: I am new to AutoCAD. I have some experience with FreeCAD and LibreCAD, but most of my experience has been with polygonal 3D programs like Blender and Maya or 2D programs like Photoshop.

My issue is that I want to edit dimensions on an object in a DWG file, but I cannot seem to actually select these dimensions or edit them. It feels like the object itself is a PNG file stuck inside the drawing.

Below, you can see the object that is selected, and I will attach the file as well.

To be entirely honest, I'm not sure this is even a useable file or if I'll need to make what I need from scratch. Would a company be able to print this from this document, or would they need a different file type altogether?

Hi and Welcome to AutoCAD Forum,

AutoCAD can deal with images by insert information from another application as an OLE object ( similar to your case ) . You can not edit the ole contents, You have to get back to the origin source and make changes there.  >> Click <<

AutoCAD is not a photo editor: sorry.

You can draw over it or mask content you don't want to see, and you can clip it, but that's about all this program will do with pictures.
