Tree canopy help?

Anonymous
Not applicable
Hi everyone, right I run AutoCAD 2016 LT, I'm trying to plot tree canopies using circles. This is fine until I come across a tree with an unbalanced crown. I can't figure out how to plot a circle with 4 different radius? I know it is possible as I've seen drawing before that can achieve this. Any help would be really appreciated, also I'm not an advanced user, in fact I'm a bit of a novice.

Thanks in advance

HI totterfield and welcome to the Forums!

Can you attach a sketch or picture of what you are trying to do? I imagine from your description that you want a connected series of arcs to represent the tree canopy.

I am happy to help you with this if you can clarify your exact question.

A "passible" tree canopy can be made by using the REVCLOUD command. Just make sure the end result looks more like a tree than a revision cloud!

A bit like number #1, sorry I'm on my phone cannot really post an image,

The picture in the background is kind of what after. Circle with 4 radius for each easting . I do use reccloid to make them look a bit more interesting.

I've usually got lots of these canopies to plot, so making arks would be a very long ordeal

Thanks

Hi @Anonymous

I took three circles and overlapped them a bit. I then trimmed out the interior portions, converted the remaining arcs into a polyline.

Now, I can grab a vertex (or even insert additional ones) and stretch the shapes in a variety of ways. Perhaps I need to do this with four to make it better. I was wondering if something like this would work for your needs.
