The drawing is not visible in Preview, what I'm doing wrong.

Hard to say without the dwg-file(s).

My first ideas in such cases is that objects are

on a layer named "defpoints"
on a layer which is set to "no-plot"
CTB or STB recolors to white

But looking to the drawing might help much faster then guessing from screenshots.
