Text Size Issues

Hello,

So in a nut shell, when I'm annotating, the text is the appropriate size I have it set to, but as soon as I click out to continue with something else the text changes to a crazy, large, size. This happens both when I'm using single line and multi-line. I've tried changing the size in properties, which works, but as soon as I move something or change anything it goes back to a very large size. As far as I can tell, there is no scale factor causing this. Please help, this is very frustrating.

PS: I'm working in RebarCAD, if that makes a difference.

Thanks.

HI @Anonymous,

I see that you are visiting as a new member to the AutoCAD forum. Welcome to the Autodesk Community!

Is the Text Style that you are using set to be Annotative?  Is it possible to share a sample drawing file with me so I can see what might be going on with the text size changing?

When you are creating a multiline text object, AutoCAD attempts to show you the text as readable when you are typing it.  Once you exit the text editor the text will quickly enlarge or shrink to the size it is supposed to be.  You can use the MTEXTFIXED variable to control that display so that the text display while typing is sized as your font setting dictates.  The variable is on/off (0 or 1).

Is this what you are experiencing?

Hello, it took me a while to finally realize what was causing this issue. I was annotating within a view port, to correct the issue I hovered over the CADS-VPM, selected configuration options, and selected "Never rescale and never ask again" in the TEXT/D TEXT\ M TEXT Scaling Options drop down box. Haven't had an issue since. Again, sorry for the long wait.
