Text size in Title Block Changes when Printing to PDF (depending who is printing)

Hello,

I've just noticed this problem and I'm having a hard time trying to figure out what's going on.

There's a drawing on shared network that I needed to make a small amendment on. Previously, someone else had worked on it, and printed it PDF with no problem. However, when I print it to PDF, using the same plotter and same Plot Style table, the text in the Title Block is suddenly too big/long for it's field. See attached screenshot.

Has anyone come across a similar issue?

Thanks,

Louis

What font is that text style using? If it's a TTF (TrueType font). It needs to be installed in Windows on every medicine that needs to plot these drawings. Is it's not installed, AutoCAD will substitute a font.

Type STYLE and press ENTER

Find the text style on the left, and select it.

What font is it using?

Do this on a machine that is working and on yours.

Send some screen shots.

@Anonymous ,

If fonts are changing automatically, then your file has custom fonts missing from your system and a substitution allows you to see the text.

I suggest copying all fonts (TTF and SHX) from every CAD user to a common network folder (something like N:\CADD\Fonts). This will allow everyone connected to the network to "Add..." this path in OPTIONS > File > "Support File Search Path" , and avoiding missing fonts.

Thanks Guys!

Yes, I was missing a font style. Had a colleague send me the missing .shx file and placed it in C:\Users\Your User\AppData\Roaming\Autodesk\Version of AutoCAD\R2X.X\enu\Support.

Thanks for your help!
