Text in paper space

Hi,

I received a file from a municipality and It looks that every time I create either a dimension line, multileader or multitext in paper space, they hide underneath the objects in model space, actually they totally disappear underneath the shades from hatches.

How is that possible and how is possible to solve it?

Regards,

Ralph

Is this the first time you dimension in paperspace in your AutoCAD year-version?
Does running REGENALL command fix your display-only issue?
What year-version is your AutoCAD as listed but the program's ABOUT command?

Does this not occur in your other files' layouts?

@RalphBrown99 ,

Do you have layer "0" frozen? Weird things happen when you do...

Here the answers,

Is this the first time you dimension in paperspace in your AutoCAD year-version?
No, this is not the first time that I do dimensions in my AutaCAD year version, actually I do all the time.

Does running REGENALL command fix your display-only issue?
No it does not fix the problem.

What year-version is your AutoCAD as listed but the program's ABOUT command?
I am using Civil 3D 2024

Thanks for the answers @RalphBrown99

if your layer 0 is thawed/on/unlocked too, then can you confirm if the issue is a single layout in that file, or all layouts in the file? What if you create a new file in that one DWG?

Fixing a corrupt C3D file is not easy I understand, but that's going to be your next step most likely. And you'll want to ask fellow C3D users in the C3D forum what the best approach would be (RECOVER command, RECOVERALL if there are XREFs, should be safe to try first then QSAVE when it is done but I don't use C3D).

Thanks for sharing your dwg...fyi we're not Autodesk but just users like you.

I don't see the same problem as you do. But of course I'm opening your dwg in vanilla AutoCAD 2024 and your attached dwg & png files were not included.

But I don't think this would cause the MLeaders & Dimensions you draw to go behind the objects in the Mspace Vport.

I can see them fine in the default Layout. I can even draw dimensions over them and can see them fine.

If you have vanilla AutoCAD, try opening the same file there and see if you encounter any issues.

Hi Paul,

Thanks for the feedback.  As far as I can see,  you are having the same problem.  Try to move any label, say as th "EX. 36.41" label or your dimensions and move them on top of the house hatch (right viewport)  and the most probable is that they disappear.

I know that because these labels are masked and you can see the contours underneath.

Please let me know your findings.

Regards,

Rafael

I changed the following in Page Setup:

Checked Plot paperspace last

Now I see everything on top of hatch:
