TEXT HEIGHT

Hello,

I am quite new to AutoCAD.

my viewport is set to 1/4"=1'-0". I want to know the height of the text in my model space.

How do I figure that out? My prof gave me a chart but it was confusing...

Please help.

Thank you.

if text in paper space = 1/8"

.125x48=  😁 in model space

(If you don't have a calculator, and having text 1/8" in ps, put it over the viewport, use

command CHSPACE, move it to MS then in MS use LIST, you will get the text height in there)

There is nothing confusing about that chart. Pick your plotted text height at the top. Then go to the scale on the column on the left. Draw a line down from the top and another from the left. Where they intersect is the model space height.

What part don't you get?

Drafting is a breeze and Revit doesn't always work the way you think it should.
