TEXT Errors

Recently opening drawings ive been working on for months, it suddenly started displaying the text in model space and on paper space and once printed differently. as a different font etc...

I had the standard font set up as Arial and now everytime i open a new drawing it changes all exisitng text within the drawing to this horrid stick style text and also is a larger size and ruins the drawing and annotations.

also even when i try to create new text and select arial before i start typing anything it still will not display as Arial een tho the text properties says that it is!!!?

very confusing.....? can anyone help?

Attached File PL_06D was the latest revision where the text looke normal. the screen grabs of my CAD now shows how its now decided to start displaying things.

I dearnt try and open any more drawing incase it corrupts the text on them aswell.

cheers,

Try the STYLE command and see if anything looks different (font etc)

it is showing an erroe for the standard FONT.....??

I assume this means the FONT has dissapeared some how? Do you think this may have happened due to a MS office Upgrade on MS office 365, as this was done on Friday.....?

If so how do i put the FONT file back into the CAD folder on my C:/    ?

Roll back the clock.

Hit "Start" lower left corner, type in System Restore and choose earlier date to restore your windows.

Check to see if windows fonts got updated.

Hit "Start", type in fonts, check your Arial font

I can not tell how/why the fonts were uninstalled.

In any case if you find the font files you just need to right-click them and select install to have them in your system again. You need admin rights for that.

What is inside your AutoCAD font folder?  Have a look at: C:\Program Files\Autodesk\AutoCAD "your version"\Fonts

Also, go into Options and check the font file path.  Hopefully it might just be a broken link and a system restore won't be needed.

Thank everyone!!

all your help was great!

in the end becuase of a recent upgrade to Office 365 on the same PC it deleted Arial Narrow from CAD also.

Just had to get the FONT and put it back in the windows Font folder in the C:/ drive!

all drawings are back to normal!

Many Thanks!
