Text Editor

When I try to edit the text the text ribbon does not show up and when I try to right-click on the text and turn on the "show toolbar" it is not there. If you could help that would be nice.

the version is 2024

Do you really mean text and not MText? There is no ribbon or tool bar for text.

Of course I can edit text but if by "edit" you actually mean "format", you are limited to the options in the text style.

the difference between MTEXT and TEXT, since you did not answer the question posed

As you can see, what you want is only available in MTEXT. So... which one are you asking about, since what you want is not an option in TEXT and you cannot change that sadly.
