SVG in AutoCAD

Is there any planned support for SVG files in AutoCAD? I would like to export my CAD designs to a scalable vector format for book publishing and the SVG format seems to be the best option. And also importing SVGs into AutoCAD could be useful for logos, schematic images, etc.

I have not found any add-on application on Autodesk Apps for this.

Hi,

AutoCAD does not natively import or export SVG files directly in its standard desktop version, but you can convert between DWG/DXF and SVG using third-party converters. >> Click <<

Thanks, I was hoping to have something available directly inside AutoCAD.

There is an old and quite limited SVGout (SVG Export) LISP utility - https://www.cadforum.cz/en/download.asp?file=SVGout and much more capable SVG Import utility - see:

You can try these - they are free.
