If the total length of all paths in "Support File Search Path" is more than 2577 characters the paths that follow are not searched, so hatch patterns and linetypes are no longer found. This problem arises in all AutoCAD products, but verticals like Civil3D 2016 are more sensitive here because of the large number of long paths: it has reached its limits!.
These paths are not searched but are also not removed, causing unreliable results. Moving my paths up in the list is a solution for my plugin, but will cause other plugins in Civil3D to stop working properly.
