Suggestions Regarding Xref Menu

I am pretty sure I am not the first person to suggest this but during a quick search I could not find this.  For the xref menu it would be nice if nested external references were listed under the primary file they are attached to.  For instance

Current Menu

  • Current File
  • Nested Xref 1
  • Primary Xref1
  • Nested Xref 2
  • Nested Xref 3
  • Primary Xref2

Suggested Menu

  • Current File
  • Primary Xref1
    • Nested Xref 1
  • Primary Xref2
    • Nested Xref 2
    • Nested Xref 3

Ignore the bullet points of course.  This might not be a big deal for most situations but I recently joined a new company and some of the files have 50+ xrefs... We also recently moved to the cloud so virtually all of the xrefs need to be remapped.

When 90% of the xrefs are nested it is hard to find the primary for those and would make my life so much easier if I could easily identify which are the primary and which are the nested external references.

So why you don't use the TREE VIEW structure?

And if you are old school, you can use the command CLASSICXREF

I've been using AutoCAD for over 30 years and just now realized how powerful that little icon can reduce stress, but I've moved on to Revit now with less stress. I still have to use CAD on some projects, but that helps me see what xref's what within the drawing. Thanks!
