Dock your commandline. Too many issues connected with this floating version.

Hi @Anonymous,

I am sorry that you are experiencing this issue.

I suggest trying the following to see if the error will be corrected:

  • Turn off Hardware Acceleration in GRAPHICSCONFIG
  • Remove any customization or add-ins
  • Perform a program Repair in the Windows>Program control panel
  • Create a new user account (administrator) and logon to AutoCAD to see if the issue persists. If not, this indicates some corruption in your user profile
  • Reset Settings to Default and then don't customize or install add-ins until you can see if the problem is still present or gone
  • If none of these steps work I suggest a clean uninstall and reinstall.

Please select the Accept as Solution button if my post solves your issue or answers your question.

Hi @Anonymous,

I am glad that the new user account worked.  Here is an article I found on the web that might help with the profiles.

If you have a domain network account, you can also save all your bad profile docs onto your network, delete the account and folders off the workstation and then add the account back onto it.

Hi @Anonymous,

I apologize for not being clear. I meant any docs or files that you have saved in the older profile. Removing the profile and folders from the computer would also erase the files.

creating a new user account is not a good idea. for me problems appeared after creating new user account like long delay after right clicking. the best solution is reinstalling windows and reinstalling autocad
