specify spline tangents?

Just recently when drawing a SPline I have been prompted to specify the start and end tangent after I've completed the spline, meaning I have to hit enter again for both start and end. Why did it suddenly start doing this, and how can I stop it please?

thanks

Is this newly installed Autocad?

Go to CUI and check the macro of the SPLINE.

No I've been using it for a while now, it's only recently started doing this. I use the SPL command, it starts doing it after a random number of splines, if i use another command in between it wont do it again for a while.

For example I'll do say 10 splines with no problem, then it'll make me specify the tangents

Then I'll use the mirror command (for example, could be anything else), then start with the splines again and it'll be fine for a few times, then start with the tangents again

Almost like it's decided I've done enough easy splines and it wants to make life that little bit harder for me!!

The  Enter 3 times at the end is old, after 2010 it changed as shown here:

https://www.cadtutor.net/forum/topic/28441-help-ending-a-spline/

My 2008 uses 3 Enters as you described.

Typed commands do not auto-repeat. Never have. Nothing has changed unless you used to have a customization (called SPL) that did it for you written by someone. The fact that sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't is curious.

But... many buttons are set up to do so: perhaps you need to go back to that activation method?

Why does it keep asking me to specify start and end tangents after I've completed the command?

@JulieDJREP ,

You should see this right after entering the SPLINE command:

Consider resetting:
