Solids Drawing Disappear and Cannot be Selected

Hello All,

I'm trying to create a basic model for a building slab/floor plan/footing.  I've intended to create the whole thing in solids to facilitiate easily taking many section shots and flat shots.

However, not long after adding the rebar solids to my drawing, I started experiencing an issue where much of the drawing will not display, and cannot be selected. If I attempt to use RECOVERALL, the correct number of objects are enumerated, based on previous work. I believe the first symptoms of the problem were section planes not capturing all objects that passed through them.

I've attached two screenshots: a preview thumbnail where the solids are visible, and a 3D Hidden shot showing the absence of many objects.

A version of the drawing from after the error started is attached. Backups are old enough in progresss to make it more effective to start over, in case some error of geometry that I have missed is causing the issue.

Can anyone help me with this problem?  I've already recreated the work, but I want figure what went wrong to try and avoid it recurring in the future.

Do you have solidhist turned on or off?

It is off.  I should also mention that I have toggled Hardware Acceleration but haven't seen any changes.

I've got a similar issue with solids dissapearing randomly (AutoCAD 2016).  In the instances where the issues have come up and I've been able to recover a previous version of the drawing, I've noticed when running LIST on the dissapearing 3d solid, the bounding box has 0 for all coordinates of the box.  The 3d solid is still visible at this point in model space but basically has no values.  If the solid is moved or modified, it will disappear completely and will not return even running UNDO.

I've lost work over the last several days.  I saved before going home, open the drawing in the morning and items are either completely gone, or will be soon as soon as I try to edit it.

Extremely frustating.  I'm hoping that someone knows what is going on and we can figure this out.  I'm up against a deadline, have very little time to allocate to this project and keep loosing work.

What value do you have for solidhist?
