I have question regarding to snapping in ACAD2020.

In many cases snapping point is way off from where I want to it to be.

Why is that so? Quite annoying to be honest.

Looks like that in attached pic

It may caused by having more than one of object snap modes selected ... would you try to keep just one like ( Intersection ) and see if any changes ?

There are several other discussions about this. Most of them are due to the user moving the cursor too quickly and not pausing to acquire, and hold, the desired OSnap.

If this is not the cause for you, please share a video showing the errant OSnaps.

Drafting is a breeze and Revit doesn't always work the way you think it should.

"used to work" means nothing to us, your issue does not exist for us here, so there is something unique to you going on.

Share your DWG file here and explain how we can replicate your issue exactly, in detail, also let us know how far out you were zoomed and what your OSMODE setting is at the time of the error that you can replicate over and over again (if this was a one off issue, then we can't help).

Also list what ABOUT command says about your exact version, and your settings for APERTURE and PICKBOX please.
