Hi All!

Im sure this topic has been covered extensively.

I have read through the forum and tried some of the solutions but nothing is working. I started dividing my drawing up in to smaller ones and working on one plan per file but as I add more drawings in to a file the problem comes back. I think I have about 8 files now and the original drawing isnt even a big file. When I draw a line or try copying an object, it's hell on earth!

I need help please!!

I have attached my files. Plans 2 being the oldest and floor one by one being the latest.

Over 300.000 Objects are a lot of.

I can understand the Software which need time for that handling.

Only one Keyboard - 670 objects

- for 10 Keyboards ) 6700 objects

i need 4 polylines and use BLOCK and Blockreferences. For such a schema is it enough.

- so i have only 10 objects (Blockreferences)

352 for a simple plant

i need 1 polylines and use BLOCK and Blockreferences. For the same schema.

The "structure" is very unfavorable for the performance, i can not see a special problem with that files, only the unnecessarily high number of objects.

Thanks for the response.

Is it  a matter of deleting the objects? or a function that I can use to fix it?

You can convert multiple lines to one polyline, but more isn't possible ootb without third part tools.

A simple example: PLANS 2.dwg

On Layer "0.05 Trees" are 194714 objects, you dont FREZZE that layer, so Acad have to calculate them every time new.

FREEZE the Layer if you dont want to see the objects. (Search and read about the difference of OFF and FREEZE)

And better before:

Select all objects on this layer (QSELECT) and use command JOIN,

your 194714 converts to ~26134, ~168580 fewer objects without lost any informations...

Thanks!

So I did that, even deleted everything under the tree's layer and join lines and the drawing's fluidity did not improve at all. No idea what's going on here

You can search for the issue, copy the file to save the original and start your search.

DEtach all external references (DWG,JPG,PDF), is it much better?

QTEXT, is it much better ?

FILLMODE OFF / REGEN is it much better ?

Delete all SPLINE, is it...

So you can find the biggest problems for performance, if you had found them you can check your option to handle it.
