Size of tables in template issue

Hello,

I am really new to AutoCAD and am working on a template file for drawings and have come across a problem.

I created a template with two tables - one for the revision lines and the other for the title block, for which I had to adjust the Standard Table Style. I needed to shrink the table greatly (it defaulted at 6" per column and row).

However, when I created a new sheet in another file using "From template" and my new template file, one of the two tables returned to the original massive size. I am not sure how to fix the problem, and was hoping someone on here would have some insight.

I'm not seeing that here, creating a new DWG using your .DWT file works as expected.

However, I will strongly urge your to NAME your table styles, 'Standard' in AutoCAD terms is just a placeholder, and while there has to a at least one named style in a drawing file, using Standard as your default names generally means "I don't know what will happen".  Especially problematic wht getting files from other sources, whose ideas for Standard ought to be are different than yours.

I

d also review your text styles, and decide if you wan the named table style to manage the text height on the table, or the names text style.  Personally the former seems to work better and is more predictable.  Forcing Text Height via  Named  text styles seems to create more problems than it solves.

After I changed the name of the table style and re-created the table, the table was inserted correctly into another file, so your recommendation helped, thank you!

I'll also work on managing the text heights to match my current sizes.
