Never check nearest otherwise AutoCAD would not object snap exactly to any of the selections chosen but only close to them which is what nearest means. Then you’ll end up with an inaccurate digital file.
I've always used Nearest since 2000 and I am a very reputated drafter 😅
If i wanted, i could write a book about object snaping.
The best to know is what people don't know : the variables APERTURE and APBOX. Once you manage and understand them + some concepts, then you can check whatever you want 😎
Is that what you are looking for ?
(defun BITS_LST(num / n lst)
(setq n 0)(while(<= (expt 2 n)num)(setq n(1+ n)))(while(< 0 n)(setq n(1- n))(if(=(logand num(expt 2 n))(expt 2 n))(setq lst(cons(expt 2 n)lst))))lst)
(BITS_LST 767)
If you are looking for something ?
1024 is not apparent intersection, it appears t be geometric center now

... with a reputation for...? If you're talking about including NEArest among "running" Object Snap modes, I have to agree with @paullimapa that it should never be included there, because it will almost always "win" over whatever other mode(s) you have set [I can think of one particular circumstance in which it would not], often giving you an unintended result. If I had it running, I would constantly be Tabbing through the possible applicable modes to get to the one I intend when NEArest would otherwise overrule the other(s) -- maybe that's what you do. Yes, I use NEArest, too, but not as a running mode, only calling for it specifically when needed.
Can't agree ! 🤠
Everyone must know how to make an osnap "winning" :
-TAB
-Forcing (Shift or Ctrl + right -click, using the keyboard or even a button on the toolbar)
-wheeling the right zoom being aware of APBOX
....
@paullimapa said "never" and I never say "never". That's what I mean. Anyone can have his own style.
