Scrolling lag

Hey,

I have just installed AutoCAD, however I can't really use it as I can't even use my computer after the installation due to the scrolling lag. Approximately every 10 seconds my mouse lags for a few seconds. I can't scroll and it keeps getting me out of the tab I'm currently working in. This is extremely annoying for example when I'm reading an article or writing a message. Just to write this post I needed to wait for a few seconds after like every sentence.
Reinstallation didn't help. Uninstallation helped, but hopefully there is a way I can use AutoCAD.

So you're saying that while AutoCAD is open, it's not only slow itself, but it's slowing down other apps too?

If I understand right, I'd bet you 'd experience problems reading or writing posts thru Acad, "This is extremely annoying for example when I'm reading an article or writing a message." I'm not sure this is related to Acad at all. Is Acad running and minimized while you are reading and writing (assuming of course you did not mean you read and write thru Acad)? If you are experiencing this problem while Acad is running, try closing Acad and see what happens. If the problem still exists when Acad is not running, I would not suspect the Acad install is the fault.

Yes, that's the case, however this happens also when I close AutoCAD
completely. Just full uninstallation solves the problem.

So if you look at Task Manager during the delay, can you tell what is eating up the processor causing the lag?

If not, and you feel like digging in a bit deeper, take a look at this.

I didn't mean just reading or writing posts through AutoCAD. It surely is
related to AutoCAD as I have installed it twice and both times same problem
happened. Exactly after uninstallation it was just fine. Closing AutoCAD
doesn't help, it still occurs.

I looked at it. That particular application didn't work for me, but I used
a similar one (Performance Monitor from IObit) and here is what I found:

- It is the application I'm using at the moment which is eating up the
processor - whether it's Google Chrome or Microsoft Word. It's not any
AutoCAD application which is weird, because without it installed, this
doesn't happen.

- When (for example) scrolling down the article CPU usage increases up to
30-50%, frequency increases up to 80-100% . When frequency is at 80%, it
will lag for a few seconds (I can't scroll, I get out of the tab I'm in)

I have Intel i5 760 2.80 GHz.

If uninstalling appears to fix it, and if closing or just shutting down Acad doesn't solve it, I would inspect the Task Manager for a possible Autodesk-related process still running that Acad was responsible for starting and left running after Acad has been closed.

I thought the same, so I blocked Acad start at the startup. It didn't solve
it, problem still occurs exactly the same.

not sure how or what you mean by blocking acad at the startup. But this is venturing into the unknown, ie, it could be almost anything causing it and Acad just highlights the issue. Try back to the basics, update video card driver and perhaps research and update mouse driver too if it can be. Try that and see what happens.

In Advanced SystemCare there is Startup Manager, where you can manage which
applications start along with the start of an OS, so I disabled Acad there.

I updated every driver which was possible to update. Unfortunately it
didn't solve it.

I uninstalled Autodesk apps one by one to find out that it was Autodesk Content Service which was causing the problem. I installed everything back except that and it's working fine. Can I use AutoCAD without problems with no Content Service?

if the software still works, sure go for it. I usually disable the comm center with "acadinfocenteroff" and Acad works fine without it. @camilo.lemos - can you offer any insite on this from the Autodesk Help standpoint?

Yes, I didn't turn it on during the installation. It was part of the default installation.
