I'm not sure what has happened, but for some reason, the scale tool is not grossly exaggerating any kind of scale function (I'm using Autocad electrical, but this is an issue with the base Autocad tools). Normally, if I need to match an object's size to something, I can click the basepoint on one corner, and match its size to another point. As in, the respective corners of an object correspond to the two points clicked. Now, for some reason, if I scale up, the outer edge of the object is grossly beyond the second point selected.
See my attached example: I want to scale the red rectangle to match the two lower corners of the white rectangle. However, when I try to match it up to the lower corner of the other white rectangle, the edge overshoots it by a huge margin.
And to clarify, yesterday, it was not doing this. But for some reason, today this is what is happening. Does anyone know what might be causing this?
