Scale for drawing

I set my units at the beginning of my project to architectural and inches but now I am trying to scale the viewport for my drawing in paper view and the scales are in metric. I would like the scale to be 1/4"=1'. does anyone know how to fix this?

You can set the default scales in Options, User Preferences, Default Scale List (lower right), then pick imperial.

Also at the bottom of the scale list while in the drawing there is a custom option to add a scale.

Also if you want to go old school you make the viewport current, start the zoom command, type 1/48XP and hit enter, for 1/4"=1' scale.
