SAVEAS file format

I have a couple students that keep getting the same comments in their dialog box when they go to SAVEAS or XATTACH a file asking them to specify file paths or file formats. How do we resolve this?

In AutoCAD type FILEDIA and set it to 1.

Hi @kellie.hamre,

As @Anonymous posts, FILEDIA controls whether or not a file dialog window appears during this operation. When this system variable is set to a value of 1 the dialog will appear. When it is set to 0 the user will be prompted for input at the command line. Here is an article that provides more details.
