Running Object Snaps not being registered

I am not certain if it is this mouse or not, but in 2021 I have noticed that ACAD may or may-not register my running object snap. For instance, I may be a 1/2" away from the end of the line, but my running object snap shows the endpoint, which is what I wanted, but when I click, I get some random point. I had this issue before, but it is becoming quite frustrating.  Anyone else run into this?

Turn off Object Snap Tracking and try it like that.  Running osnaps will not override that setting, only setting the object snap for one time use will ignore other settings and grab the endpoint (in this example) and if your pick is away from an object then nothing will be selected, you can set endp again and pick on the line.

I can see osnap tracking being an issue if I was shown that it was tracking with the dashed line, but it doesnt show that it is tracking off anything to enforce that. I thought that could be the issue, but as I said, it doesnt even act like it is tracking off anything. I am physically paused over an osnap with no tracking identification (+) mark and the end point glyph is active, but it will choose a random point at times.. It is very odd. Thanks for the tracking as I was wondering myself.

Other reason I am wondering if it is my mouse it because when I click on just about anything, its like it doesnt register it, I have to do it twice or click harder. Same with the Mbutton and panning, I will not pan, I think there is a little side to side movement and when I make sure to click exactly vertical, then it will pan.

I have occasionally had that happen -- I'm trying to Osnap to a location, and the green Osnap target thing is showing at the place I'm after, but what it gets is the actual crosshairs-intersection location.  Some argue that it happens because you're moving too fast, but I don't think so -- it happens when I'm doing the same kinds of things at the same kind of speed at which it works right most of the time.  But it's nigh unto impossible to "document," being an intermittent problem.  It's one of the reasons I prefer to have blips turned on, so I can see what I got even if it's not within a command [such as LINE] where that's obvious.
