Right Click Menu Missing

Right Click Menu Missing

Right click shortcut menu does not appear in ACAD -though it works in all other applications. I've looked through old posts and gone after the usual suspects: Pickfirst set to (1). In Options/Selection "Noun/Verb" checked and in Options/User Preferences "Shortcut menus in drawing area" checked. Any ideas?

Tools > Options > Right-click Customization: see what you have setup in there.

Below is what mine looks like.

The only difference is that yours has the first box toggles. When I match yours it, right click causes teh Options menus to open. I used to have a shortcut menu with copy/paste/draw order/etc.

AutoCAD's right-click has nothing to do with other programs FWIW

Since this is a built-in ability, what's new about your setup: new install? trigger the migration feature? change or load a special menu file? buy a new mouse or mouse-driver?

Are you right clicking with or without object(s) selected?

Thanks, I mentioned that it was working in other programs as I had seen previous posts mention checking the driver settings for the mouse.

We did just perform a new install of 2015 and I believe that is when it started. I'm just scratching my head trying to find the missing piece here!

Reset your Autocad back to default.

Sounds like your acadcuix is dead.

Well, maybe try the SHORTCUTMENU variables manually.

You can't just right click out in space, you need objects selected like others have suggested.

Thanks everyone! It is fixed now.

And -contrary to some comments -I can right click for a menu with something selected or not. It provides two different menus.

We use a simplified version of ACAD packaged with LandFX. When we recently loaded 2015 and migrated the LandFX items things went amiss.  I ended up asking another individual and we reloaded the ACAD menu.

Action that worked: Type "menuload" /deleted "ACAD" from top list list/ reloaded "ACAD" from lower list (had to browse for it).

Hi. I am also missing the items such as Draworder and Group on my right-click menu. The rest of this thread did not resolve my issue.

I have a brand new install of ACAD 2016 on a brand new computer.

The CUI shows both draworder and group underthe EditMenu, they just do not work. The options under right-click customization in the options menu are all set to short-cut menu.

When I right-click (whether or not I have selected objects), I get:

Repeat CUI (CUI  was the last command)

Recent Input

Clipboard >

Isolate>

Undo CUI

Redo (grayed out)

Pan

Zoom

Steering wheels

Action recoder >

Subobject Selection filter >

Quick Select

Quick Calc

Find

Options

Clearly this is not the edit shortcut menu. I do not know what it is.

Please help.

Those two (Group and DW) only appear when I have items selected here in Plain AutoCAD 2016 where you are posting, right below ROTATE (also missing from your list): if you migrated from an earlier version or have an add-on or loaded a customized menu these may have been removed.

Reset R2016, it should then behave like it does for the rest of us http://knowledge.autodesk.com/support/autocad/troubleshooting/caas/sfdcarticles/sfdcarticles/How-to-...

Well, I tried that, but no change (except I lost my customization
unnecessarily).

As I said - this is a brand new AutoCAD 2016 on a brand new computer -
basically out of the box, as it were. No migration of any kind or major
customization -just edits to appearance and display.

Any more ideas?

Check the variable "PICKFIRST" and be sure it's set to "1"
