I have some old printers that I no longer use, but they still shown up in acad.

Hi,

you can delete any .pc3 from File > Plotter Manager. and hide system printers from Options > Plot and publish (same image you attache).

Hi @ferrisb,

Have you removed the drivers for the printers from your Windows? Are you seeing PC3 files that were custom? Here is an article on hiding System printers.

For Removing the  old printers. You can delete any pc3 from File > Plotter Manager. and hide system printers from Options > Plot and publish exactly the same image you have attached. Or you can also take the instruction from the

https://goo.gl/VS81cM and hopefully it will help you.

I went into printer manager and accessed the pc3 folder but the printers on the list in the plot command weren't listed there.  Any other suggestions?

Hi,

Listed where? In the plot-dialog as available devices or in the Windows Explorer started by command _PLOTMANAGER and showing the PC3-files?

When I enter the plot command in AutoCAD, old plotters and printers that I
have used in the past create a dialog box that says that printer is not
available. These printers do not appear as pc3 files in the plot manager
command nor in the drop down of plotters in the AutoCAD plot command. Don't
know how to get rid of these "ghost printers".

Well, if you have a dwg-file, that has a pagesetup with the assigned plotter "HPDJ1055" AutoCAD searches for a plotter with that name. If that plotter does not exist any more AutoCAD shows this message as it does not know how to plot this layout now.

The only way to get that working is to open the dwg-file, open _PAGESETUP or _PLOT dialogs and assign these layouts new devices, that exists now.

For the Window Printers, use the Windows Printers & scanners Settings and choose the old printers and Delete there. Then they will not show up in AutoCAD.

Hi,

Command OPTIONS > Files > Plotter manager

See your path..

But as already stated, there is a command for it (see above), type in:

Plottermanager<enterhit>

None of this worked for me. I've deleted all the old .pc3 and .pmp files and everything still show in the AutoCad Printer drop down.

Yes, even after AutoCAD relaunch. I can't do a screen shot as I have 4 screens and the snip won't work. I also don't see an option to upload a screen shot here.

Hi,

>>" I can't do a screen shot as I have 4 screens"

Whether one or six screens, it doesn't matter.

>>" I also don't see an option to upload a screen shot here"

Different language, but the same place. [Reply] to my post and scroll down, see the BROWSE link:
