"Getting Started" Videos

Good morning folks,

I actually have a quick one for everyone today, not just one I think should be quick!

The "what's new about this AutoCAD release" videos, "Getting Started", is there any way to save these individually, so I can come back and view it at the time I need it?

Thanks,

Mark

You want to save them to your PC? Otherwise they are there for you to go to anytime you want, is there a time limit you anticipate not meeting?

I can defiantly look into this a bit further for you. I am assuming you mean a downloadable file (i.e mp4 file).

But are you referring to those videos located on YouTube or Screencast? I know YouTube has a service where you can save and create a playlist for videos(i.e tutorials).

I have a few tutorial playlists for videos on AutoCAD and Fusion. It's helpful when I want to revisit old topics, just an idea.

They're where?  Is there some library that they're filed in, that would be a great help.  No urgency, it would just be nice if they're available and I forget how to do the one step in the process.

Thanks, Dean

Hi Sarah,

Not necessarily a downloadable option, if they're readily available online somewhere, that will be fine.  Dean implied that they are kept somewhere, I don't know how to get to their location.  so perhaps a downloadable version would be better for me, ha ha.

The ones in the intro screen "Start" when I open the AutoCAD program.

Many thanks for your assistance Sarah

Are they searchable somewhere then?   The only time I've seen them is when I boot up AutoCAD and they appear on the Start screen.  I'm not aware of them being anywhere after that.

Thanks,

Mark

They are links in the AutoCAD startup: no actual files exist on your PC.
Why would you not start AutoCAD and get to them when you what them? What's the benefit? Your PC and your AutoCAD are here when you want them 🙂

Agreed, but the only place I KNOW they are is on the "Start" page when I open my session, and only a handful, which seem to change daily.  How do I find specific ones that pertain to what I'm looking for?

I don't need to save them personally, as long as I can get to them when I need them.  I just need to know where to go and how to proceed.

Thanks,

Mark

Hi,

>> the only place I KNOW they are is on the "Start" page when I open my session

You can go directly to the help using any Internet browser, no need to start an AutoCAD session >>>click<<<

Thanks Alfred.  But where do I start?  What do I click to get me there?

I need more of a "go here, click this" type of answer...

My apologies, Sir, I didn't see the    <<<click>>>   as a link, I thought it was some sort of text code.  In my haste, I looked right past it.

Thankyou, thankyou!

I'm still awaiting on another colleague about having downloadable files but to add to the thread you can also download the help file as well.

You can use this link.

Hi @MarkFitz

Sorry about my delayed response but your best option for help video's would be the suggestion made by Alfred.

At this point there is no option that I could find for downloadable copy of those videos.

To add, if you need additional tutorial videos I would recommend taking a look at Screencast

Sarah had also links shown in post 13 and 14.

So what are you missing?

@Anonymous, what link specifically are you looking for? Did the suggestions made in this thread not help?
