Seems like video acceleration issue. Perhaps upgrading graphics driver will help. This instruction may lead you to solution.

Hi @Anonymous,

This error message typically indicates that the graphics driver is having errors.  What hardware is installed on your computer? Have you checked for a more current driver than the one installed currently?"

Does turning off hardware acceleration in GRAPHICSCONFIG make any difference?

SOLVED

I had same issue. When I tried to edit the measurement AutoCad crashed. The problem was that multiscreen setup was configured with "sourround spanning options" (Nvidia Driver Option) enabled. Disabling  that option AutoCad didn't crash anymore.
