Problems xref'ing a .dwg created in Plant in Autocad 2016

I'm bringing a .dwg created by another of our departments into Autocad 2016 as an xref but some of their piping will not display. Their .dwg is created in Autodesk plant. I can see pumps which they've brought into their model from our central database of shapes and objects but i can not see their pipework that's been created in Plant.

Someone in the office has mentioned that in previous versions of Autocad this problem was related to/solved by adding object enablers.

Has anyone experienced anything similar? Does anyone have a solution?

Thanks,

Sean.

You need to install the object enablers on your vanilla CAD stations..

I posted a very similar question on the Plant forums over the winter... never got a response or a solution.

ACA 2015, a consultant sent us their drawings done in Plant. I could see everything except the fittings. I'd already tried the Object Enablers to no effect, so I"m still stuck.

Fortunately we haven't had to use their drawings since then, so I've kind of let it go at "it doesn't work".
