problems with no objects in viewport

I am almost about done with a 3d drawing and went to make the 3d view port in paper space and nothing would show in the view port. Also in paper space the base view of the object keeps disappearing. The dimensions stay but the objects disappear. The main thing is the problem with the view port. I have tried doing it in different paper space tabs with no luck. Hope someone can help, I have attached the drawing.

Hi,

I see two issues with the layout:

you have 2 viewports overlapping,

  • one close to the size of the complete paperspace
  • another one on the upper right quarter

I deleted first the bigger of the 2 viewports

Then you have 2 text objects with the content "unless specified", these are very far away from the 3D-modell itself (in modelspace). So every time you do ZOOM EXTENTS (or the program does it during some view-changing commands) you can't see any of the object. Each object is not more than just a pixel and so close to unvisible. You can verify this by changing to model-space, do ZOOM EXTENTS and then press <CTRL><A> to select all objects. You'll see the grips now where the objects are distributed.

I have attached the drawing without that 2 text objects, I guess that solves your issues, if not please let us know that!

yes, that worked thanks for the quick reply, now i can finally finish the drawing. I didn't even realize that was a large view port in paper space.
