Problem with sale dimention

Hi! I'm new to the softwear so I'm not realy sure how some things go. For example, I needed to scale my drawing to 1:50 from 1:1. I somehow managed to do that by selecting the drawing and typing scale, then 50. But now that I check my dimention size, it is the scaled model's size, but I don't need that. I need the size of the model 1:1 but in a 1:50 scale. Example: I have a staircase that is 160cm wide. In the scaled model that's 8000. I don't want it to say 8000, but 160 while also keeping the general scale to 1:50. I don't know if that makes sence, but can somebody help me?

This is what Paper Space Layouts and Viewports are for.  Keep the model information at full size, and do the scaling for plotting purposes in Paper Space Viewports.  Read about it all in Help, check for video tutorials, etc. -- too much to explain in a Forum message.

Don't scale your drawing but leave it at 1:1

Then goto Layout and use PAGESETUP command to select printer, a paper size, pen weight & etc

Create a Vport using MVIEW command and then change the vport scale to the scale you want ie: 1:50

You can do searches on-line to look for some video tutorials on this subject:
