Problem with Quick Save in 2019

Basically, the same issue as this thread: https://forums.autodesk.com/t5/autocad-forum/problem-with-quick-save-in-2018/td-p/7179920/page/2

None of the suggestions given there work.

It's a real pain in the @Anonymous, as I can't even publish drawings without closing & reopening files as quick-save doesn't register & they all list as unsaved drawing.

Can someone from Autodesk look into this please.  I seem to spend more time trawling the web to solve problems than actually doing any work these days.

Is this issue triggered after you change something in autocad? or you think it just started randomly?

Seems a random thing.

The need to save when closing even if I have just performed a quick save was a minor annoyance.  But the other day, I noticed that clicking QS didn't actually save the file.

Changing savefidelity to 0 seemed to fix that.  But now I'm getting these other issues.  It's nuts.

Do you perhaps have you SDI set to 1?

This always asks/demands to save your drawing when closing.

If my post answers your question, please click the "Accept as Solution" button. This helps everyone find answers more quickly!

SDI is set to 0

Save As works as expected, but not associated with the issue here.

Save (entered at the command bar) also loads the Save As box.

So... there is never a solution for random, so you need to find out what the circumstances are when this randomness happens. Clues to look for and info to share here:

You save your files where?
How are you connected to that location?
Are you sure you are not suddenly saving to the WEB feature?
Your OS is...? File location OS is...?

Is this a sudden new problem? Or just since you installed R2019? Or only when you need to use PUBLISH command?
Did you use the migration tool to move from an older version?

Is 2019 up to the 2019.1.2 update level yet? ABOUT command will confirm, check it.

If you log-in to your PC as an all new user with admin credentials does the problem go away? This is the same effect as basically resetting AutoCAD or wiping your PC but without the pain and agony.

Just thought I'd pop back to update this.

The issue was (of course) not having the "File Save - Save as:" setting to the latest version.

I have tried that solution and it does not fix my issue.
I have changed the the "SV" command in my pgp file, to reflect the same command as pressing the "save" icon. Even after typing "SV", which is _QSave, it still asks to resave even though nothing was done.

You should start a new thread as this one is marked as solved. It appears that you have a different issue.

Drafting is a breeze and Revit doesn't always work the way you think it should.

Thanks. Didn't even notice that.
