I have  a problem with autocad 2007 precision. For example, I draw a rectangle that snap to 2 end points of my column. As you can see in the attached image, the distance between these columns is 10000 and 8000. So the area of this rectangle should be 80000000. But when I looked at the rectangle porperties, it showed a non-perfect number. I desperately checked all the possible reason like snap or drawing unit precision, I even tried with  autocad 2017, but it didn't work. Anyone can help me please, thank you so much.

Drafting is a breeze and Revit doesn't always work the way you think it should.

@Anonymous ,The width is not precisely 10000 as can be seen with the list command and the 2nd vertex with properties.

image.png The displayed dimensional value is being rounded to 10000.

Thanks for your reply, but I still can't get it. If I draw a line connecting 2 endpoints of my horizontal columns, in the properties panel its length is exactly 10000. Did I do something wrong.

>>Check the position<< of your columns ...  They were drawn not precisely!

So, does AutoCAD cause this kind of imprecise drafting or is it OIE?

Hard to say without knowing the history (the file was saved in a very old format) of the drawing. (The former IMO is unlikely, the latter may depend on the data source).
