Problem seeing attached dwf in final print

Hello, i have attached a dwf into my cad file.

when printing the cad to dwf, the attached is seen on preview but do not appear on final dwf plot.

any idea why this happends?

Which version of AutoCAD, which service pack of AutoCAD, which printer driver was used?

Have you tried e.g. "DWG to PDF.pc3" to run the _PLOT command and test the appearance of your DWF content then?

Have you tried to attach the DWF in a new drawing and run the same process, is the content of the DWF then plotted?

If you can show the data then create a ZIP from the DWG + DWF + a PDF created when you plot the layout to PDF (so we can see what is missing when you run the plot) ... upload the ZIP so we can test it on our systems.

I even have not got answers to my questions of feedback to my suggestions, so I don't know if it was solved for that guy.

HI Alfred,

I just found it ! It seems that a dwf cannot be plotted when a polygonal viewport is used. Its printing fine in a regular rectangular one.

Well, I tried that, it's working well (tried with AutoCAD 2018)

So it might depend on which version and service pack of AutoCAD you are using. Start command _ABOUT and show us a screenshot from that dialog so we can see the version details about your AutoCAD.

I did not test it in all version but same results in AutoCAD 2014 sp1 and 2015 sp2

Hi,

tried AutoCAD 2015 SP2, worked well.

I attached the drawing and the dwf (in the ZIP) as well as the resulting PDF, you might try it.
