printing and scaling problem

so i drew this 20.07 x 10 cm drawing and i want to print it out just as the size it is. A3 size paper would be a good idea cuz it would fit both landscaped or portraited. so i have set these settings on the plot menu and the preview shows the whole drawing as a dot in the paper!
Paper size: ISO A3 (420.00 x 297.00 mm)
Plot area: Extents
Plot scale: 1:1 mm
now i know the 1:100 thing is what's confused me but have i done it wrong? 1:1 means each mm equals to 1 mm in real world size on paper(?)

but im still seeing the drawing as a dot in the preview 😞 can someone help ?

Try changing EXTENTS to WINDOW and place a window around your objects the size of the paper. (Draw a rectangle 420.00 x 297.00 mm first and snap to the corners to define the window.)

Then see if that changes anything. Sometimes you may have an object far away from the other objects. (even if you can't see it)

Hi, try setting your plot scale at 10:1 That should give you what you want

thank you. I think it looks just about right, now. but can you also explain to me what this means? does it mean that every 10 mm on the Model window equals to 1 unit in the autocad (which I've set to 1 cm earlier)

What that plot scale means is that 10mm of real world paper equals 1 drawing unit in modle space. Your units in model space must be set to cm rather than mm.
