PRINTING ACAD FILE RUNS SLOWLY WHEN CONNECT TO THE INTERNET.

Dear all,

Please help.

When I do printing a acad file with a connection to the internet, it runs very slowly ( about 50-90 seconds). But when I disconnect the network, It runs very fast (1-2 seconds).

I find out the solution in google and disconnect to communication center by seting ''Computer\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Autodesk\AutoCAD\R20.1\ACAD-F001:409\CadManagerControl\CommunicationCenter''

-DataPollingURL, data value = 0

-EnableNonPatchNotifications, data value = 0

-EnableSerialNumberPassing, data value = 0

-PreviewMode, data value = 0

But it seems not work.

Please help.

Thank you.

Phuc.

Hi,

>> When I do printing a acad file with a connection to the internet, it runs very slowly

Some questions please_

  • Which AutoCAD version and update/service pack do you have (command _ABOUT)
  • Which Windows version do you have (in Windows <WinKey><R> ... then WINVER<ENTER>
  • Which printer driver do you use?
  • Does the same happen (slow print), when you plot to "DWG to PDF.pc3"?
  • Does that happen with a new drawing too, just a few lines ==> layout ==> zoom in viewport ==> plot

More details to the issue itself: what exactly is slow, starting the plot-dialog, click OK and wait until the progress-meter is shown or the progress-meter runs slow.

When you recognize now that printing is slow: was it always slow, or was it faster previously and started now to be slow?

Dear Alfed,

Thank you for your reply.

I am using acad 2017, education version. Win10 Home Ver 1709 (OS Build 16299.125)

Every drawing when I press print command (Crl+P), the same thing with printing to PDF, when i press ''Ctrl + P'' then it takes time to start the plot-dialog. If i disconnect the internet, It will fast immediately.

I recogzined it was slow when I get Product code from Autodesk.

Thanks for your help.

Phuc.

Hi,

Well, that means you have support paths or PC3-files that point to invalid folders or files.

First start command _OPTIONS ==> tab "Files" and go through each of the items to verify the path/file(s) exist and are accessible (not blocked by permissions).

Then (if the previous test did not find any invalid files or folders) start command _PLOTTERMANAGER and double-click each of the PC3 files ... does anyone give you an error or needs really long time to open it then move it to a save place (not into a sub-folder of the current PC3-files!)

If nothing helps (or the fastest option to get rid of that in case you have not done too many customization's) ==> reset the AutoCAD profile to default as shown >>>here<<<.

Dear Alfred,

Thanks for your support. I have set as default but it is still not working.

By the way, I found that, not only the plotting slow.

When I connect the computer to the internet:

- Open the acad file takes 63 seconds.

- Press ''Ctrl+P'' takes 54 seconds to open the plot-dialog.

When I disconnect the computer from the internet:

- Open the same acad file takes 11 second

-Press ''Ctrl+P'' takes 2 seconds to open the plot-dialog.

That means, When I connect to the internet, acad file runs very slowly, not only the plotting

Thanks.

Phuc

Hi,

So you don't have any lisp/app/own PC3-files/... working, all is "fresh" now?

2 other ideas:

1) logout from the A360 connection

2) turn off "Customer Involvement Program"

...better?
