Pressure Pipe Network Fitting Label dragged state arrow head anchor point

Hi All,

I recently started using pressure pipe network, and have a question regarding fitting labels. I noticed that I can only drag the text around but not the leader anchor point. So far all the civil 3d labels I have encountered I can move both text and leader anchor point. In my particular case, there is a little gap between by leader anchor point and the fitting itself. Is there a way to make the arrow touch the fitting? Thanks

Attached is a screen shot of my label.

You may want to ask this in the Civil 3D forums.

That being said, I don't think you can get it much closer unless you change the fitting style to show nothing but the center line instead. You can also move the label around, usually it'll touch on one of the collar ends.

Thanks, Archie,

I did move the label around and it's closer now. That's all I can do, for now, I guess. Thanks again.

Ben,

I know this is an old post but I came upon a way to adjust the arrow.

You can create a custom fitting style, and on the Fitting styles Plan tab, change the display to "as centerline" or "as user-defined block" and use an empty block. The arrow from the dragged label should pointing to the center of the fitting location.

Below are two fittings, one with the catalogue defined block, and the other with the user defined block set to _none, so you can see the difference.

But then there is no fitting displayed?

Take the catalogue defined block, or any block you wish to substitute as the display of the fitting and add it in the xref containing the 2d linework. It will act as a "dummy" for plan display only. The label can still point to the C3D fitting which is on the no-display style.
