Precise Cuts on M-Lines

Hey Guys,

This is a novice question, since I've just begun trying to use M-Lines.

Would someone please tell me how to PRECISELY CUT M-Lines?
When I put a door in between the M-Lines, I want to cut one or both M-Lines at the beginning and end of the door frame. How do I do that WITHOUT exploding the M-Line? I can use the M-Line Edit tools, but don't know how to SNAP to the objects that aren't M-Lines. Is there a command like my custom made LISP 'BREAK' command that allows giving a first and second point AFTER selecting the M-Line object needing to be cut (it BREAKS between the 2 picked points)?

Thanx ...

ara,

Thanx for the quick response.

TRIM doesn't work the way I want it to.

Sometimes I want to trim only one of the M-Line lines.

Trim will trim the whole thing.

It also breaks the M-Line into 2 entities.

Any other ideas?

Thanx.

Too bad, b/c I'm guessing this is a need that's been waiting to be implemented for at least a DECADE.

I figured out a work-around:

1. Drop your doors and windows into the walls.

2. Draw a line where the door and window extents divides the wall.

3. Activate the TRIM command btw those two lines.

4. Delete those two trim lines.

Done.

This is a real stupid way to do it, but it works.
