Is it possible to select objects from the properties drop down menu? Let's say I select the whole drawing and when I click on the drop-down in properties of selections, I just want to have all circles, or lines ex... to be selected. Now I am using quick select to select different object types, but I was wondering if you could use this drop down menu to select objects and maybe save time.

I will post a picture

In pure Autocad you will have to use the Quick Select command (_qselect). But in the AVC Properties Palette, you can simply click on the header to select the objects (i.e. clicking on Lines deselects all objects except lines). In addition, in this palette, each property has a button to search for other objects with the same property value.

I'm trying to see what is the point....

What is your question because making a CTRL+A (or answering "ALL" to the choice of objects) and filtering as you show us is possible... ?

You can use that drop-down list in the Properties palette to narrow down the selection to only objects of a particular type for the purpose of doing things with them collectively in the Properties palette [such as to put them all on the same Layer, give them all the same color, etc.].  You cannot use it for the purpose of narrowing down object selection for an editing command [Move/Copy/Rotate/Erase/Scale/etc.] -- such a command, if invoked, will use the entire larger selection.

It would be good if you could just use the dropdown and when pressing for example Lines, it would only select lines. So for now I still need to go by quick selection.

That's entirely appropriate.  The drop-down you're talking about is, after all, in the Properties palette, which is about what it's named for, and is not intended as an object-selection mode.  But QSELECT is.
