POLYLINE MIDPOINT PROBLEM

Anonymous
Not applicable

Hello,

I'm using Autocad 2010 for the last 7 years and never had a problem with my polylines since now. I just started working somewhere, they also have 2010. The problem is when I select the polyline the midpoint vertex dont show. The vertex which says convert to curve or something when you hold your cursor on it long.

I used to just grab that midpoint vertex to change the length on something, now I have to hold shift and grab both vertexes in eacside.

Midpoint is on on objectsnap, its not the problem.

Can you please help?

Thanks!

Hi,

>> The vertex which says convert to curve or something when you hold your cursor on it long.

That way not an option with AutoCAD 2010, this feature was introduced with AutoCAD 2011 or 2012 (not sure about that)

Hi,

I suggest to change GRIPS system variable to 2. this will displays additional midpoint grips on polyline segments.

Command: GRIPS
Enter new value for GRIPS <2>:

Hello and welcome to Autodesk Forums,

Assuming You've been dealing with AutoCAD for quite some time, I believe there is no point asking if you have Your Object snap settings set correctly.

Is this object a simple closed polyline, blocked object, or 3D polyline?

If by saying Midpoint You mean the "grip" and not the "object snap", the maybe You can try setting the GRIPOBJLIMIT variable to 32767.

If nothing comes up, perhaps it's possible to upload the drawing or part of it, so we can check if this issue can be reproduced?

Kind Regards,

Pawel

Hi,

I'm a bit surprised that setting GRIPS to 2 is the solution, as the value 2 is not supported for AutoCAD 2010 ... ;(
