Points along road centreline

Hi, 

I've been given a site layout with a centreline for road on. I need to take my elevations at chainages and plot them along the line in order to set them out as profiles and eventually edge of road. I remember being able to pump this information in at set chainages and then come back and create a 3d polyline in order for me to go and stake out on site but maybe this was on civil 3d?

Is there any way to do this on autocad? Had a look for some lisp routines but no joy.. Any help is much appreciated!!

Hi @Anonymous  that is a Civil 3D feature but maybe you could find something useful to help you in the free cad tools located here

Civil 3D is the best solution also there is a chance we can do with some lisp or script.

If you upload the sample Files we can look into it.
